Good Fat and Bad Fat


Who would have thought that you could have good fat as well bad fat?
One of the biggest misconceptions of fitness is that we do not NEED fat! Fat is a nutrient in our body and is extremely essential for normal body functioning. Fat is our greatest insulator. Fat insulates the body’s organs which allow the body to maintain its normal temperature.  Fat has a vital role in promoting healthy cell functioning, maintain healthy hair and skin. Fat is also one of our largest sources of energy. Glucose is the result of the body using it’s on fat reserves as energy.  Let’s not make the mistake that our body requires a lot of fat, because it doesn’t. Too much fat is obviously unhealthy and can be extremely dangerous. Too much fat can cause high cholesterol, blood pressure, heart dissease and in many cases, death.
